Abengoa closes the sale of Befesa to Triton

Abengoa collects €331 million today at closing. The sale is part of the company’s strategy to focus on core businesses.


Abengoa reaches a final agreement with Triton for the sale of 100% of Befesa

The deal values Befesa at an enterprise value of €1,075 million. Completion of the transaction is expected by mid-July.

Abengoa will manage the aluminium residues at the new facility that it will build in the town of Bernburg, in the east of the country, and which will involve an investment of approximately € 30 million. The new Abengoa plant will have a production capacity of 50,000 tonnes of aluminium alloys for casting and, in addition, will recover the aluminium from the drosses at the Novelis plant.
