José Marañón. Abengoa director takes over from Reyero at Aesma

The Andalusian Association of Environmental Industry (Aesma) has a new president following eight years of Fernando Reyero at the head of this sector association. The general assembly appointed José Marañón from Abengoa as its new president.

Marañón has spent 36 years at the multinational in Seville in which he has held a variety of positions, including General Manager of Befesa and more recently as Chairman of Agua y Gestión de Servicios Ambientales.

Continuity

Marañón announced his intention to continue the mandate established by Reyero, "which should be characterised by cohesion and the support of the Andalusian environmental production industry".

Fernando Reyero highlighted that Aesma is now the leading reference point for the Andalusian environmental industry and the main authorised representative for the sector with the administration, the media and other institutions.
