Javier Molina Montes

Mr Molina has been Non-Executive Chair of the Board of Befesa since 1 February 2026. Previously, he served as Executive Chair from July 2022 to January 2026, and held the position of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Befesa from 2000 to 2022.He began his professional career at Banco de Progreso (Grupo March), where he worked from 1983 to 1988. He subsequently served as General Director of Tecsa from 1988 to 1993. In 1994, he joined Abengoa, where he assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer of Abengoa Servicios Urbanos (Abensur) and later became President of the Environmental Services Business Group. He is Chair of the Advisory Board of Autismo Sevilla and a member of the Advisory Board of San Telmo Business School. Mr Molina holds a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3), Madrid, Spain.
