Befesa Plásticos obtains AENOR’s Environmental Management certificate according to standard UNE-EN ISO 14001:1996

Befesa Plásticos, Befesa’s agricultural sector plastic waste recycling subsidiary, has been awarded the Environmental Management Certificate by the Spanish Standardization and Certification Association (AENOR), which guarantees that all its activities comply with the requirements of environmental standard UNE-EN ISO 14001:1996.

All the systems have been internally audited by teams of qualified auditors that have nothing to do with the production line. This Certificate confers on Befesa Plásticos the right to use the AENOR Registered Firm trademark, with number CGM-05/233, for another year, while performing an annual audit under the conditions established in the General Company Regulations, until the next renovation.

In accordance with Befesa’s Environmental Policy and its Common Management Regulations, the implementation and certification of an Environmental Management System, in all its companies, is a strategic objective. Within this framework, all Companies are obliged to establish objectives to reduce the consumption of natural resources or the generation of waste. In addition, the obtaining of these certificates is also supportive of the Environmental Policy implemented by Abengoa.
