Codesa awarded the treatment works for Pozo del Camino and Román Perez quarter in the municipal district of Isla Cristina, in Huelva

The Department of the Environment of the Regional Government of Andalusia has awarded Codesa, through the Public Entity GIASA, the wastewater treatment system project design and work execution contract for Pozo del Camino and Román Perez quarter, in the municipal district of Isla Cristina, Huelva. The contract is for more than one million euro.

The main activities to be carried out consist basically of the grouping of the Pozo del Camino discharges. To this end, three collectors to re-route the flows from the four drainage areas in the district will be constructed: one further north to cover the urbanized areas on both sides of the road and the first constructions of the nucleus that extends towards the La Redondela road, another intermediate drainage area that includes the edifications on both sides of the road, the west drainage area and that which discharges directly to the tidelands.

This new contract is further recognition by the Regional Government of Andalusia of the projects executed previously for GIASA, such as the enlargement of Baena STW or the STW works and grouping of the discharge systems in Montemayor, Fuente Obejuna and Villanueva del Rey, all executed in the province of Cordoba.

Codesa offers integral solutions in sewer systems, treatment networks, collectors, STWs, urban wastewater treatment stations, sludge treatment and management as well as energy exploitation there-from (Cogeneration), executing the project, construction, and integral maintenance and management of the sewer system and treatment service.
