Codesa awarded three concessions for the operation, conservation, maintenance and enhancement of treatment systems in different municipalities in Catalonia

The Catalan Water Board has awarded the Codesa-Depuraciones de Aguas del Mediterráneo-Agricultores de la Vega Valenciana Joint Venture the concession for three groups of activity comprising the operation, conservation, maintenance and enhancement of the treatment system in several municipalities in the provinces of Barcelona, Gerona and Tarragona.

In the province of Barcelona, Codesa has been awarded the concession to operate, conserve, maintain and enhance the treatment system in the area of Avinyó, with a treatment flow of 320 m3/day. In addition, in the province of Gerona, it has been awarded the contract to operate, conserve, maintain and enhance the treatment systems of Báscara, with a treatment flow of 286 m3/day, Ventalló, 80 m3/day, Vilamalla, 479 m3/day, Sauscamallera, 275 m3/day, Sant Miquel de Fluviá, 145 m3/day, Cerviá de Ter, 180 m3/day, and Vilajuïga, 250 m3/day.

Finally, in the province of Tarragona, Codesa will take charge of managing the public service under a concession for the operation, conservation and maintenance of the L'Espluga de Francoli treatment system, with a 2,000 m3/day treatment flow.

The contracts are a significant recognition for Codesa, as entering the Catalan market with an important local authority, will enable us to expand its activities in the region with greater ease.

Codesa offers integral solutions for sewage systems, treatment systems, collectors, wastewater pumping stations, urban and industrial wastewater treatment stations, sludge treatment and management and energy exploitation (cogeneration). It develops turnkey projects, construction, maintenance and Integral Management of the Sewage and Treatment Service.
