Befesa participates at Aqua’07

Aqua’07, the 4th Water Management Conference, was organized by the Environment Department of the government of the Balearic Islands on 21 and 22 February. The conference was opened by Jaume Matas, president of the regional government, and as in previous editions, this was a forum for information, meetings and debate for the diverse economic and social participants attending from the water management industry and public administrations.

This year Befesa took part with a monographic session entitled "The regeneration of waste water: technologies and experiences", which was introduced by Valetín Estefanell, Assistant General Manager of Befesa Construcción y Tecnología Ambiental and coordinated by Arturo Buenaventura, manager of the R&D+i Department at Befesa Construcción y Tecnología Ambiental. The session was comprised of two panels:

- "Advanced waste water regeneration treatments", which was participated by Ángel Cajigas, Executive General Manager of the Technological Water Treatment Association and Alfonso Tello, Manager of the Purification Department at Befesa Construcción y Tecnología.

- "Experiences in waste water regeneration for reuse", discussed by Miguel Ángel Ródenas, General Manager for water in the Murcia region, José Juan Morenilla, Manager of the water treatment authority for the region of Valencia, José Rafael Sánchez, Manager of the town councils coalition for south east Gran Canaria and Juan José Romero, Manager of the sewerage infrastructures area of the Balearic water and environmental quality agency.

Jaume Font Barceló, environment councillor for the Balearic Islands government, and Barbara Mestre, Executive Director of the Balearic water and environmental quality agency were among those who attended the monographic session sponsored by Befesa.
